KERRY CARAGHAR was born in Colorado where his family has lived since the mid 1800's. His love affair with fly-fishing began at an early age when he learned to fish on the beaver ponds of Buffalo Creek. It came as no surprise to Kerry's parents when he announced his dream of one day becoming a professional fly fisherman. 

Kerry has significant experience fly fishing across the Rocky Mountain west and he enjoys salt water fishing with a fly rod. Ireland, the home of his ancestors, remains Kerry's favorite destination for fly fishing.

This presentation will cover fly fishing in lakes – the equipment, techniques, and flies to effectively increase your chances in stillwater fly fishing.  We will look at the progression of the stillwater season – from ice-out to freeze up and discuss what food organisms are present and how to imitate them.

GEOFF NEMNICH has been an outdoor enthusiast his entire life, but his "addiction" for calling coyotes started more than 20 years ago. As a member of Cabela’s Pro Staff and a contributing writer for Predator Xtreme magazine, Geoff spends numerous days in the field each season and is extremely passionate about sharing his love for coyote hunting with others.  He travels throughout the West filming coyote hunts for the Coyote Craze DVD series, and teaching new coyote hunters his tricks of the trade at the only predator-hunting instructional school in the country, Coyote Craze College. Geoff hosts a segment on the Predator Pulse radio show.

Geoff and partner Dustin Patterson (Manhattan, KS) just bested 67 teams to win their second straight World Championship Coyote Calling Contest, held Dec. 3-5 on public lands in Kingman, AZ, harvesting 17 coyotes during the day-and-a-half event.

A native of Colorado, Pat has been guiding for over 23 years. He spends approximately two hundred days a year on the water, enjoying a unique quality of life both personally and professionally. “I am blessed to be able to make a living as a fly fishing guide and I will never lose sight of how fortunate I am to really love my job.”

Pat is Guide Director and a partner in the Blue Quill Angler fly shop. He oversees and trains more than 20 guides and helps to set the standard for integrity and professionalism in the Blue Quill Angler guide operation. Pat also writes the central Rocky Mountain stream report that monitors stream flows and conditions on the Blue, Colorado, South Platte (Cheesman, Deckers, Spinney Mountain Ranch, and Elevenmile Canyon), North Fork of the South Platte, and Williams Fork rivers.

Soon after his graduation from Purdue University with a degree in engineering, Eastman returned to his hunting heritage and outdoor roots as the publisher of the Eastmans’ Hunting Journal. He since has co-founded Eastmans’ Bowhunting Journal and is co-host of Eastmans’ Hunting TV.

The fly fishing in Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) has made a dramatic recovery after the Giant Flood of 2013.  Kirk will give you a detailed view and discussion of the fishing and habitat changes since the flood.  Some areas have even more fish than before the flood!  Kirk will also give some insights to the prime back-country fly-fishing for Native Greenback Cutthroat in RMNP. 

GREG FELT has been guiding and outfitting on the Arkansas River since 1985. Co-owner of ArkAnglers in Salida and Buena Vista since 1998, he guides float-fishing trips on the river and oversees a staff of 18 guides. During his tenure on the Arkansas, he has also taken a strong hand in local and state natural resource issues--in  2016 Greg  was elected Chaffee County Commissioner. He also serves as a director of both the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District and Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District, is a member of the Advisory Board to the Colorado Office of Outfitters Registration, the Arkansas Basin Roundtable, and is on the Colorado board of the Trust for Public Land.
