Spring Fishing on the Arkansas River

Join ArkAnglers co-owner and guide manager Greg Felt in an exploration of spring fly-fishing opportunities on Colorado’s Arkansas River. Long known for its late April caddis hatch, springtime on the Arkansas is also characterized by strong midge activity, molting golden stoneflies, drifting caddis larvae and a strong baetis mayflies emergence. These events, coupled with unparalleled public access and liberal spring sunshine, have made the Arkansas River one of Colorado’s most popular spring fishing destinations.
