A Guide’s Approach to Fly Selection and Strategy

Chris Steinbeck, the General Manager and full-time fly fishing guide at the Blue Quill Angler in Evergreen, is entering his 16th season guiding. Growing up in Littleton, Chris cut his teeth fishing Chatfield, Waterton Canyon, Deckers, and chasing bass on a local neighborhood lake. That’s where his passion developed and it continues, guiding many local watersheds including the South Platte River in Cheesman Canyon and Deckers.
