Avoiding Crowds On Your Adventures

Dan England (photo, right) worked for the Greeley Tribune for 20 years and co-authored Reborn on the Run. He now is an outdoor writer for the Colorado Sun and Colorado Outdoors and associate editor of NoCO Style magazine. He has climbed more than 200 peaks, including all of the fourteeners. He lives in Greeley.

Ranger Bryan Fons (photo, left) is a Recreation Management Specialist at the Regional Forest Service Office in Golden. He formerly managed the Outdoor Recreation Information Center in Denver’s flagship REI store. He has worked on the Paonia and Pikes Peak Ranger Districts. In 2023, he marked 30 years with the Forest Service.
