Dr. John Kucks  was born in a small farming community in rural southwestern Ohio.  The 40-acre wooded property, complete with a three-acre pond, offered plenty of room for John to explore and cultivate his interest in nature. At the age of 13, he earned a scholarship to the prestigious Culver Academy and, upon graduation, earned an athletic scholarship to play football at Bowling Green University. He started at the center position for three seasons and served as a senior co-captain and earned the Carlos Jackson Award for his work ethic. After graduating, John enrolled at the Metropolitan State College of Denver and then earned a place at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Kuck graduated from veterinary school in 2007 with an ever-increasing passion for animal health and welfare. His broad knowledge and skill base encompasses companion animal internal medicine and surgery.  Dr. Kuck feels a strong sense of service to his community, volunteering at various animal charities.
