Know Your Species: Fish Trivia!

Andy Cochran grew up as a 5th generation Coloradan in the San Luis Valley and started fishing at the age of 5. From the moment he first picked up a rod, his entire life has revolved around fishing. He began working for Gene Taylor's Sporting Goods back in 2001 and has been their Fishing Department Manager for over 16 years. He  opened GSO Fishing back in 2006 and has been guiding clients on Blue Mesa  Reservoir for over 18 years. In 2019 he expanded his guide service and created his own line of Premium jigs that can now be found in many stores in Colorado. He is also a Bass fishing enthusiast, tournament-winning angler, radio personality, fishing show host, Level Up Fishing podcast host, and a visionary for angler participation in the Gunnison area.

Stormy Cochran has been a dedicated angler on Blue Mesa Reservoir for over 19 years and is the driving force behind GSO Fishing, where she oversees operations, manages jig production, and co-hosts the Level Up Fishing Podcast. Passionate about making fishing an inclusive and accessible sport, Stormy strives to support anglers at all levels, helping them overcome challenges and enhance their fishing experience.

As a working mother of four, Stormy understands the importance of family time, fishing, and building community. Through GSO Fishing, she works to provide anglers with the tools and resources they need, fostering a community where everyone can feel welcome and inspired to enjoy the outdoors.
